Terms of Use
This is a translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Portuguese version prevails.
These terms are the agreement between you and One Punch Idle ("the game", "we", "us"). They apply to the card and auto-battle game at play.onepunch-idle.com and to the presentation website at onepunch-idle.com. Please read them carefully: by creating an account or continuing to play, you state that you have read and agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who we are
Contact: [email protected].
2. The service
- One Punch Idle is a free online game played in the browser of your computer or phone. All progress (cards, currencies, missions, fights) is stored on our servers, not on your device.
- Fight results, rewards, recruits and balances are always calculated by the server. What you see on screen is a replay of that result.
- The game is under active development. Content, rules, amounts and screens change often, and news is published on the Updates page.
Testing phase. While the game is in its testing phase:
- instability, outages, balance corrections and big balance changes may happen;
- the donation screen may work in test mode, with no real charge. Anything received in this mode has no value and gives no right to anything after the test;
- before the official launch, the game data will be reset. We will give advance notice in the game and on this page.
3. Minimum age and account
- The game is for people aged 16 or older. By creating an account, you declare that you are that age. If you are between 16 and 18, play with the knowledge of your parents or guardians.
- Donations are for adults aged 18 and over only.
- Accounts of people under 16 will be closed when identified.
- To create an account, you choose a username and a password and provide a valid email, which you must confirm. Some features, such as writing in chat, selling on the Market and receiving invite rewards, are only available with a confirmed email.
- The account is personal and non-transferable. Do not lend it, share it or use another person's account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what is done on your account. We recommend turning on two-step verification (2FA) in your account settings and keeping your recovery codes somewhere safe.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password, end your other sessions in your account settings and notify support.
- Choose a suitable username: offensive names, or names that impersonate another person or the game team, may be changed or lead to suspension.
4. Conduct rules
We want a fair game and a calm environment. The following is not allowed:
- using bots, scripts, macros, third-party programs, tampering with the browser or its traffic, or exploiting game flaws to gain an advantage;
- failing to tell support about a flaw you found and using it for your own benefit or that of others;
- creating or controlling several accounts to multiply rewards, invites, gifts, PvP points or trades, or artificially moving value from one account to another;
- selling, buying, renting or swapping accounts, or trading game items for money or for anything outside the game;
- insulting, threatening, harassing or discriminating against other players, posting illegal, sexual, violent or hateful content, spamming or running scams;
- posing as the game team or as another player, or asking anyone for a password, verification code or payment details;
- trying to break into, overload, mass-copy or test the security of the service without authorization. If you find a security flaw, tell support;
- using the game for any purpose contrary to the law.
5. Chat, names and player content
- What you write in chat, in your username, in Guild names and descriptions and in other public fields is visible to other players. You are responsible for that content.
- You authorize us to display that content inside the game while it is published, and to keep it for the period described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may remove content that violates these terms, mute or block an account's chat and apply the measures in section 12.
- You can report messages and players and block anyone who bothers you, using the game's own tools. Reports are reviewed by moderation.
6. Virtual items
- Yen, Diamonds, cards, Fragments, Recruit Tokens, Coupons, contracts, badges, VIP, Pass and other game items are virtual items. You receive a personal, limited, non-transferable and revocable license to use them inside the game, not ownership of them.
- Virtual items have no cash value, are not currency, earn no interest and cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for money or moved out of the game, not even by us.
- Items only move between accounts through the game's own features (Market, gifts between friends, Guilds, invites), according to the rules of each one.
- We may adjust stats, skills, costs, odds, rewards and limits to keep the game balanced. These adjustments may change the value or usefulness of items you already have.
- Items obtained through a bug, fraud, a payment dispute or a breach of these terms may be removed or corrected.
7. Recruit and odds
- New cards enter the game only through Recruit, the story and activity rewards. One Punch Idle does not sell cards and does not trade cards with players.
- The odds of each Recruit, by card rank, and the guarantees through contracts are shown in the game itself, on the Recruit screen, before you recruit.
- The draw is made on the server. There is no way to predict or influence the result.
8. Market, gifts, Guilds and invites
- The Market lets players trade sellable cards using Diamonds. Only players with active VIP can list cards; any player can buy what is listed. Limits, Diamond holding periods, auctions and requests follow the rules shown in the Market.
- The game charges no fee on the Market and is not a party to trades: prices are set by the players. We do not guarantee that a card will sell, or at what price.
- Trades suspected of fraud, of artificially moving value between accounts or of using a game flaw may be blocked, reversed or held for review.
- Gifts between friends, treasure and Guild shops follow the rules and limits of each screen.
- In the invite program, you can earn rewards when people you invite play and reach milestones. Rewards only count for real invites with a confirmed email, and may be held or cancelled in case of abuse (for example, inviting yourself).
9. Optional donations
- Playing is free. Anyone who wants to support the game can make an optional donation and, as thanks, donors get digital rewards: Diamonds or VIP. With Diamonds you can also unlock the premium row of the season Pass.
- The amount of each donation and the matching reward are shown on the donation screen before you confirm. Cards are never a donation reward.
- Donations are processed by Stripe, an external payment provider, by card or Pix (in Brazilian reais) and by card (in US dollars). Your card number and bank details are given directly to Stripe and do not go through our servers.
- The reward is delivered to your account right after Stripe confirms the payment. With Pix, this happens when the payment is approved; a Pix not paid within the QR code's time limit expires without any charge.
- VIP lasts for a fixed period (30, 90, 180 or 365 days) counted from the confirmation. A new VIP donation adds days to the period in progress. There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge: when the period ends, VIP ends with no charge. VIP benefits are described on the donation screen.
- Cards recruited during VIP are born sellable and stay sellable even after VIP ends.
- Donations are for adults aged 18 and over only. If we identify a donation made by a minor, we may refund it and remove the rewards.
- To donate, the account must have a registered email, which we use to contact you about the donation if needed.
10. Refunds and right of withdrawal
A donation's reward is digital content delivered immediately. Even so, we respect the right of withdrawal under the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (art. 49):
- Up to 7 days after the donation, you may ask for a refund by emailing [email protected] from the email registered on your account, stating your username and the date of the donation.
- If the reward has not been used (the Diamonds from that donation are still in your balance), we return the full amount. If it has been partly used, we return the part that can still be taken back from the account: the remaining Diamonds or, for VIP, the unused days.
- On a refund, we remove the matching reward from the account.
- Our mistake, such as a confirmed donation without the reward delivered or a duplicate charge: write to support at any time. We deliver the reward or return the amount, as you prefer.
- Outside these cases, rewards that have already been used are not refundable, except where the law requires.
- The refund is made through the same means used for the donation, via Stripe. How long it takes to show up depends on your bank or card issuer.
11. Payment disputes (chargebacks)
Before disputing a donation with your bank or card issuer, talk to support: sorting it out there is faster. If a dispute or reversal is made through the bank, the account is suspended during the review and the rewards from that donation are removed. The account may be released after the review, depending on the case.
12. Moderation, suspension and closure
- If these terms are violated, we may apply, in proportion to the seriousness: a warning, muting or blocking of chat, blocking of features (such as the Market or PvP), correction or removal of items, temporary suspension or closure of the account.
- In serious cases (fraud, break-ins, scams, illegal content), we may act without prior notice. Virtual items and VIP of accounts closed for a violation are not refunded.
- If you disagree with a measure, write to support and a member of the team will review the case.
- Closing your account: you can ask for it to be deleted at any time by emailing support from the registered email. Deleting the account permanently erases your progress, including items, Diamonds and remaining VIP, which are not refunded (except within the period in section 10). Some records are kept for the period stated in the Privacy Policy.
13. Availability, maintenance and corrections
- We do our best to keep the game online, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, with or without notice, and change, pause or withdraw features and events.
- To fix bugs or fraud, we may adjust balances, undo trades or roll part of the data back to an earlier point.
- If we decide to shut the game down, we will give at least 30 days' notice, in the game and on this site, and will stop accepting donations from the moment of the notice.
14. Intellectual property
- The code, pixel art, sounds, music, interface and original texts of the game and of this site belong to their authors and are protected by law. Do not copy, distribute, modify or use this material commercially without authorization.
- One Punch Man, its names and characters belong to their respective owners (a work by ONE and Yusuke Murata). One Punch Idle is an independent project, with no affiliation, sponsorship or official approval from those owners.
- If you are a rights holder and believe some content in the game infringes your rights, write to [email protected] and we will review the request.
15. Liability
- The game is provided as it stands, still under development.
- We are not liable for losses caused by: a shared or careless password; third parties accessing your account or your device; failures of your connection, device or browser; unavailability of third-party services we do not control; and trades agreed between players outside the game's rules.
- Nothing in these terms removes or limits the rights that the Consumer Defense Code and other laws give you.
16. Acceptance and changes to these terms
- You accept these terms when you create an account or use the game.
- We may update the terms to follow changes in the game or in the law. The version and date are at the top of this page. Relevant changes will be announced in the game or by email before they take effect.
- If you do not agree with the new version, you can stop playing and ask for your account to be deleted. Continuing to play after it takes effect means you accept it.
- If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force.
17. Governing law and venue
These terms follow the laws of Brazil, in particular the Consumer Defense Code (Law 8,078/1990), the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Law 12,965/2014) and the General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018). Any dispute may be brought before the courts of your place of residence. Before that, contact support: most problems are solved by email.
